Do I have to purchase or learn any new software to create and manage my site?
Absolutely not! Everything you need to build your site is available on our website and you can access your account to build, edit, or even change your entire site's look at anytime.

What are my payment options and how do you bill me?
You can pay with Visa or Mastercard, either being billed monthly or annually. Charges will appear on your credit card from "GreatWorks Media".

Can I cancel my service anytime?
Of course! If you do not like it or do not need it, just cancel anytime after your first payment period.

What type of technical support do you offer?
Our technical support team is available to help you set up or edit your site, or help you with your E-mail accounts. Technical support is available via telephone and e-mail.

What makes GreatWorks Media's service better than most do-it-yourself options?
A good balance of getting a site you like and establishing a profitable site is hard to find without some help. We are here to help every step of the way. If you decided to go with a traditional web design firm it would also be expensive. Another drawback to using a web development firm is that any time you request a change on one of your pages, you'll probably be charged.

Do I need to know any HTML to use GreatWorks Media's site builder?
We make it easy so you do not have to learn code. You can build your sites without knowing any code at all. If you want to do fancier pages it might help to learn a few HTML codes but it is not necessary to create a professional site. The main codes you might want to use are for line breaks or hyperlinks, and we have help files and tips while creating or editing your site.

What do I need to get started?
If you're reading this page right now, you already have what you need to get started! Quite simply, you need an Internet connection and a web browser.

Is there a help file on using the site builder?
Yes, our online documentation will help you get started and manage your site. In addition, while creating or editing your site there are tips and guidelines displayed along the way.

How do I place images on my pages?
You can upload images from your computer to your web space by using your web browser. Then, simply select the images and add them to your web page. If you'd like help re-sizing images or adding text to them, we have a team of designers that can assist you for an additional charge.


How long does it take to create a website using your service?
You can create simple pages in just minutes. The more complex you make your site, the more time it will take to create it. Some of our customers spend less than 30 minutes putting their site online. We've also had customers create some really complex and nice functional sites that they spent hours creating. Since the biggest and most visible part of your website -- the design and graphics -- is already done, your site will be looking great in no time.

My site's done and looks great, how can I get listed in the search engines?
When you are editing your page, you are given the option to enter your own keywords and meta tags recognized by the search engines for web cataloging. You can simply submit your site's web address to the various search engines to start the listing process. We also offer a promotional service for an additional fee.

I'm looking for a particular design or photo image, and I can't find it, can you help?
Yes! Although we are constantly adding to our template and image gallery, we can alter and create new templates for you, or design you a complete website from scratch through GreatWorks Media. Just contact us for details.

Will the Site Builder allow me to have a response form?
Yes! There is a built in tool for you to create a response form on your website.

Web hosting and Email:

I know web hosting is important. How do I know my site will be hosted on a fast reliable Internet connection?
GreatWorks Media sites are hosted on our web servers that monitored and backed up frequently. We take great care to make sure information is safe and secure.

Can I use my own domain name?
We believe hosting without your own domain name is a bad business practice. It's hard for customers and friends to remember web addresses that are long and contain strange characters like the infamous "~" character. Because of this we strongly encourage you to use your own domain name. If you do not use your own domain name, your site will be located at http://yourcompanyname.greatworksmediaweb.com.  You will not be able to link your own domain name or use the E-mail feature until you've paid for your account, as these features are not available during the free trial.

How do I know if a domain name is available?
You can easily check on a domain name to see if it's available by calling our office or emailing us at support@greatworksmedia.com.

Do I get e-mail accounts with this service?
What's a domain without E-mail, right? If you want to be professional, you'll want to stay away from E-mail addresses such as Hotmail and Yahoo, as lately they tend to be more attributed to Spam than anything professional. We offer you E-mail address at your own domain, so it will be as easy to remember as your own web address. Of course, if you choose, you can publish any E-mail address you want on your web page. We also offer free E-mail forwarding to your own E-mail account if you choose.

How can I access my e-mail accounts?
The easiest way is with the GreatWorks Media Webmail service. Just like Hotmail, our Webmail application allows you to send, read and manage your mail from any web browser. Those that would like to use other mail programs such as Eudora or Outlook Express can access their mail this way also. Go directly to webmail here!

Is my data backed up in case of loss?
We back up all of our paid GreatWorks Media Site Builder sites daily, weekly and monthly. Although we can't be responsible for acts beyond our control, we make every effort to keep your data backed up in case of any loss to give you a worry free website.

How much disk space do I get for my files?
Your account comes with 50MB of disk space. Just so you know, most of our customers use less than 1 MB. Additional space is available at an additional charge.
